Your messages of condolence for those who have lost a loved one due to COVID-19.
My thoughts are prayers were with all those who have lost family members, loved ones or friends to the coronavirus. I am thinking of you all at this incredibly difficult time. Special people in our lives can never be replaced but our memories will last. When the time is right, we will look at a fitting way to remember all those Salfordians who passed away.

The Ashley Brook pub will never be the same without you behind the bar. Goodnight god bless 15/06/1938 to 15/04/2020.

On Easter Sunday our dad to Nicola (38) and Ryan (28) and husband to Joan lost his fight with the virus. He fought for two weeks in Salford Royal on his own. Dad took the bravest decision he would ever make on Good Friday to begin palliative care as the virus had done too much damage. He took control of it and in doing so meant Nicola and Ryan got to visit their dad two days prior to him closing his eyes for the final time and being at peace 1.03am Easter Sunday.
Brian grew up in Lower Broughton Salford, 1 of 6 children to Ellieen and Frank before marrying Joan and moving to Irlam where he stayed and settled. He worked the majority of his life at Colgate Palmolive and was well known in the Irlam community. So much so hundreds paid their respects on his funeral by standing out round the streets with Manchester United flags and scarfs. For the family this was very comforting.
Brian was an animal lover and was known for walking his beloved staffy Zac daily. With the donations we as a family have put this towards a bench in memory of Brian in Princes Park Irlam. Money was also sent to two dog rescues. Brian was a BFG and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him especially Joan, Nicola, Ryan and Zac.

My wonderful father in law Tom aged 92 died April 6 after 7 days in hospital fighting the virus.
Tommy was an army veteran and a regular at the legion on Langworthy Road, Salford.
He had 8 sons who were so proud of their dad and will miss him immensely.
He was a well liked and loved gentleman who was always smartly dressed in jacket shirt and tie who often sang a song or two when asked, he had a great voice singing Nat King Cole classics.
Gone but never will be forgotten by all the people in Salford that were fortunate to have known him.
Miss you Tommy.
Elaine Fox
My deepest condolences go to everyone who has lost a loved one to this virus.

John passed away after a hard fought 4 week battle against the virus in Salford Royal on April 22nd. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Madge.
John grew up in Bigland St, Salford 5 and always lived within a mile radius of this area - Ordsall in old money!
He leaves behind his much loved children, Susan, Derek and Lillian. Grandson Jake and Great Granddaughter Gracie. Son in law Jimmy, Daughter in law Marie and Steve.
John was a very sociable man and loved being a member of Ordsall Vets Bowling club which was a big part of his life and the Ex Service mens club (previously British Legion) on Langworthy Rd. He enjoyed a pint, playing Bingo, Crib and Dominoes together with general socialising at the Legion, especially with his best pal Bob, plus cousins Allan and George.
A much loved Dad and Grandad who will be missed each and every day.
Good night god bless Dad. We love you. XXX

My mum Joan Murphy passed away on the 29th March 2020, my mum went into Salford Royal Hospital on the 26th March. She was a popular well liked lady in Salford, loved and liked by many. Worked for Salford Council welfare for over 30 years. It was so sudden has we still cannot believe she has gone has family members didn't get to see her before and after she died and couldn't have a wake it just doesn't feel real. She will be in our hearts forever she will be missed very much for everyday for the rest off our lives. Sending all our thoughts to everyone off you.

It is very very sad to hear of Bills death to Covid and our thoughts are with his family. Bill entertained the residents on Boat Lane, every Thursday during the real lockdown when we all stood at our doors clapping the NHS, Bill would walk down the road every week, playing bagpipes, dressing up..he was a real warm character and didnt deserve to go this way

Sadly on the 4 January 2022, James of Irlam lost his fight to the virus, he deteriorated quite fast and sadly closed his eyes for last time on 4 January. He will be deeply missed by friends and family and all that knew him. Time for him to be reunited with his mum and two sisters. Fly high James. Family would ask that privacy is protected at this time and anyone who would like to know would contact myself, Demi Hughes.

Loving memories last forever, and they sure will after sadly losing my very special grandfather in the pandemic to COVID-19. I'm so grateful for those cherished last moments, although they were sad and in challenging times, we still made each other smile.
He was a larger than life man with a great personality and a smile that could fill a room.
He will live on in mine and our families memories and will never be forgotten, whenever a rainbow appears, I know he is looking down from a peaceful place up above.
Rebecca Speakman
Our wonderful Dad/Grandad passed away too soon on 29 November 2020, I feel this is a lovely way to remember him.
Fred was an independent, intelligent, selfless, hardworking family man and great company to be with. Dad really loved people, he went out of his way to make a connection with someone each day and he was accepting of everyone. His chuckle at a joke and twinkle in his eye will forever stay in the hearts and minds of his family.
He was incredibly proud to have been part of the occupied presence in Trieste, Italy - a time he looked back on fondly and recounted his journey from Catterick to Trieste with great storytelling that we all loved! #privatebarnes22495681
Dad, you are simply missed beyond words every single day.
