Statement of reasons

The No Waiting At Any Time proposals are required to ensure the new development can be accessed by all necessary vehicles, including emergency and service vehicles. Whilst also maintaining sight lines for pedestrians and cyclists at junctions and designated crossing points, ensuring highway safety in the area is maintained.

The one-way streets are required as the revised layout are not wide enough to facilitate Two-way traffic, the alternative routes are minor, usually the next street along.

The area already benefits from being part of a 20mph zone and it is only appropriate that the new streets are added to the existing order.

The proposed traffic calming is appropriate and in line with the requirements for 20mph zones where appropriate traffic calming should be implemented.
