Chapel Road and School Lane area

Salford City Council proposes to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

City Of Salford (Chapel Road, School Lane, Salford) (School Keep Clear Markings) (Amendment) Order 2024. 

The effect of the Order will be to introduce School Keep Clear Markings on: 

Irlam Endowed Primary School

  • Chapel Street, north west side, from a point 24 metres north east from the north eastern extended kerbline of School Lane for a distance of 75 metres in a north easterly direction.
  • School Lane, north east side, from a point 28 metres north west from the north western extended kerbline of Chapel Road for a distance of 38 metres in a north westerly direction.

City of Salford (Chapel Road And School Lane Area, Salford) (Prohibition Of Waiting) (Amendment) Order 2024. 

The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time on: 

Chapel Road 

  • North west side, from the north eastern extended kerbline of School Lane for a distance of 24 metres in a north easterly direction.
  • North west side, from a point 99 metres north east from the north eastern extended kerbline of School Lane for a distance of 23 metres in a north easterly direction.
  • South east side, from its junction with Vicarage Road to a point 24 metres north east from the north eastern extended kerbline of School Lane. 

School Lane 

  • North east side, from its junction with Platts Drive for a distance of 32 metres in a south easterly direction.
  • North east side, from the north western extended kerbline of Chapel Road for a distance of 28 metres in a north westerly direction.
  • South west side, from the north western extended kerbline of Springfield Lane for a distance of 24 metres in a north westerly direction. 

Springfield Lane 

  • North west side, from the extended south western kerbline of School Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction.
  • South east side, from its junction with Vicarage Road to a point 10 metres south west from the south western extended kerbline of School Lane. 

Vicarage Road 

  • North east side, from its junction with Chapel Road to a point 25 metres south east from the south eastern extended kerbline of Springfield Lane. 

A copy of the Order and plan will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm inclusive.
