The premises is to trade as a public house. There has been a licence for the public house at this location before, and we believe this still is in existence. However the landlord has divided the premises in two, and is trading one half of the premises as a pub, and the other half is to be a pharmacy. The new applicant wishes to apply for a new licence. Should this licence be granted, the existing licence will be surrendered. |

| The prevention of crime and disorder |
The premises shall install and maintain a comprehensive CCTV system as per the minimum requirements of the Police Licensing Team. All entry and exit points will be covered enabling frontal identification of every person entering in any light condition. The CCTV system shall continually record whilst the premises is open for licensable activities and during all times when customers remain on the premises. All recordings shall be stored for a minimum period of 31 days with date and time stamping. Viewing of recordings shall be made available upon the request of Police or authorised council officer as soon as possible and during opening hours. A staff member from the premises who is conversant with the operation of the CCTV system shall be on the premises at all times when the premises are open. This staff member must be able to provide a Police or authorised council officer copies of recent CCTV images or data with the absolute minimum of delay when requested. Notices shall be prominently displayed advising patrons, CCTV is in operation within the premises. If the CCTV equipment (Including any mobile units in use at the premises) breaks down the Premises Licence Holder shall ensure the designated premises supervisor, or in his/her absence other responsible person, verbally informs the Licensing Authority and the Police as soon as is reasonably practicable. This information shall be contemporaneously recorded in the incident report register and shall include the time, date and means this was done and to whom the information was reported. Equipment failures shall be repaired or replaced as soon as is reasonably practicable and without undue delay. The Licensing Authority and the Police shall be informed when faults are rectified. An incident log shall be kept at the premises and made available on request to an authorised officer of the Council or the Police. |
| Public safety |
Staff will be trained in conflict management. If they are unable to quickly defuse the situation without risk to customer or staff, then they are instructed to call the police. All relevant fire procedures are in place for a premises of this size. An on-site accident book will be in operation to record any accident/ injury incurred on the premises. This document will be retained for inspection by the store for a period of three years. |

Signage shall be displayed advising customers that the scheme is in place. All staff authorised to sell alcohol will be trained in the Challenge 25 scheme and this training will be documented to include the date the training was given, the name of the person who gave the training, the person who received the training and signatures by both trainer and trainee. |
