We provide jobseekers with access to independently sourced vacancies not available to the wider job market, increasing your chances of getting work. Our commitment to local recruitment means that we work with recruiting companies to change how, and who, they recruit. This means better employment opportunities for Salford residents. This in turn offers you a more direct process back into work.

How do residents register?

To register as a prospective candidate, please email your CV and contact details to employment.hub@salford.gov.uk. To be eligible for support (eligibility criteria below), you have to be a Salford resident, have permission to work in the UK, be aged 16 plus, and agree to registration criteria and service promise.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Being a Salford resident
  • Proof of address - all clients must be a Salford resident
  • Proof of ID - valid passport or full (A4) birth certificate - short versions will not be accepted
  • Proof of National Insurance number (original document from JCP, National Insurance card or previous wage slip)
  • Bank account
  • Completed registration form
  • Up to date CV
  • Telephone number and/or appropriate email address
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy
  • Good attitude, reliable and hardworking
  • The ability to communicate effectively
