Part Time Drivers - two roles

Hours: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Monday and Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday - hours 6am to 2pm

Salary: £11.50 per hour

Location: Irlam

Role and responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to carry out deliveries of boxed chilled meat products efficiently and accurately in a professional manner to various customers including restaurants, hotels, and football stadiums. Working six days per week, Monday to Saturday, the main responsibilities are as follows:

• To drive the vehicle responsibly and safely, always obeying all traffic laws and the Highway Code
• Carry out daily vehicle checks to comply with Company Procedures
• Maintain good communication with the Transport Manager, Telesales and Customer Services

Qualifications and education requirements

No formal qualifications are required for this role, but the role may require further training to be undertaken later.

Essential skills

• Full UK Driving Licence (up to minor six penalty points held for a minimum of two years)
• Experience of working in a fast-paced multi-drop environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to cope with early starts
• Flexible outlook on working hours
• Good literacy

Additional skills (Desirable but not essential)

• Experience of and ability to make 25 plus deliveries per day
• Physically fit
• Good organisational skills
• Cool temperament
• Awareness of delivery windows
• Willingness to undertake additional tasks as appropriate to meet operational demands
