Intake Operative Days

Hours: Full time Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7am to 5pm and one Saturday in six weeks 7am to 12pm.

Salary: £11.50 days

Location: Irlam

Role and responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective running of the goods inwards department and stock management/rotation. Working closely with the wider purchasing, technical and management team this role is key to delivering stock and managing the transit of stock throughout the business.
 
Responsibilities will include:

  • Stock rotation and stock management of all goods
  • Stock replenishment
  • Breaking pallets down manually
  • Ensuring Intake traceability systems are managed and controlled
  • Timely receipt of all goods/deliveries and controlling the intake schedule
  • QA/QC of all deliveries ensuring the quality/weight is to agreed orders and specifications

Qualifications and education requirements

A background in fresh chilled meat/poultry is desirable together with a current FLT license (both Reach and Counterbalance). Full hygiene training will be given.

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to develop good working relationship with managers in other areas of the business, to deliver the common goals of the business in terms of profitability and provision of agreed service levels to customers
  • Willingness to embrace change, and develop people within your team
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Computer literacy and EPOS Barcoding
